Past
projects include:
Building a small ply,
racing sailing boat of the class "125"
They were at that time
built only by the stitch and glue method of fabrication where cut and
shaped sheets of Marine ply were stitched in place with copper wire and
then glued together with fiberglass.
My son and I raced
this boat with some success in a number of State and National titles but
nothing pleased me more than to take it to the river on a Saturday afternoon
for a race up and down the Brisbane River.
I've done a couple
of restorations on a Pianola (player piano) I've had for some 30 years.
It's a beautiful old thing and still sounds great.

I've been involved in building and renovating a number of homes over the
years and have enjoyed the constant challenge of learning new techniques.
I, with the aid of
my wife Dorothy, have also had the opportunity of raising 4 beautiful
children. They could be called a work in progress, but I believe they're
doing all right by themselves now.
